We built Authenticatin because the hardest cases in background screening are not solved by better software. They are solved by someone walking into the building.
Most background screening runs on databases. Feed in a name, get back a match. For the majority of checks in the majority of countries, that works.
Then there is the remainder. The university in a country whose ministry has instructed institutions not to respond to foreign entities. The employer whose records are on paper in a filing cabinet. The regulator that will confirm a licence to someone standing at the counter and to nobody else.
Those cases do not fail because the technology is bad. They fail because nobody is there.
Authenticatin exists for exactly that gap. We verify credentials at the source — with a person, in the building, with the authorisation in hand — and we return a record that names who confirmed it and when.
These are not aspirations. They are the rules we run cases by, and the reasons we sometimes turn work down.
Every case requires an authorisation signed by the candidate covering the specific checks requested. If it is missing, expired or does not cover the request, we decline the case and say why. There is no version of this we bend.
A report that says "verified" tells you nothing you can defend. We give you the name and position of the person who confirmed it, and the date they did. If we could not get that, we say so.
Some countries restrict institutions from responding to foreign requests. Some registrars take three weeks. We tell you before you send the case, not after we invoice it. Quoting a turnaround we cannot meet wins one deal and loses the client.
When an institution declines to verify, we record who declined, their position, the date and the reason given. That is a finding you can act on. An empty field is not.
The person who attends the institution is based in that market. The standard they work to is the same everywhere.
Assignments go to specialists in or near the city of the issuing authority. No travel surcharges, no delays waiting for someone to arrive from another region.
Every specialist works through the same documented process before their first case — what to present, what to record, how to document a refusal.
Written confidentiality obligations are signed before any case material is shared, and access is limited to the single case they are working.
Send the market and the check type. You will get coverage, pricing and a turnaround we can hold to.
